Andreas is the sales manager for offshore supply. With a long-standing background as a first mate and Captain, Andreas Kjøl knows only too well of the daily challenges faced by the crew, and thus has a natural understanding of factors that are crucial to the development of the product. “Good solutions come about through open interaction between crew, shipping company, oil company and suppliers.”

- ODIM has created many new products for anchor handling vessels lately; guaranteed an extra hectic time for a sales manager. The demand for safer and improved solutions for anchor handling means that enquiries and contracts are virtually flooding in.

- Things must be pretty busy for you?
“Wouldn’t have it any other way,” says Andreas Kjøl with a grin. He’s happiest when he can follow the process from the first conversation with the customer, until after the product has been delivered. “There is plenty of diversity in this job”, he concludes.
